Historical Review
Founded on November 9, 1963 as the Maternal and Child Nursing Ward of Antioquia, an institution attached to the health post, it was created by the will of private individuals.
On June 16, 1964 it obtained its legal status as Hospital Enfermeras de Antioquia by Resolution No. 092 issued by the Government of Antioquia.
In 1975, Article 8 of Decree 356 declared it an entity attached to the Ministry of Health.
On May 26, 1977, Resolution No. 007 given by the Director of the Hospital Enfermeras de Antioquia and endorsed by Resolution No. 6550 of the Ministry of Health (September 29, 1977) defined the Hospital Enfermeras de Antioquia as a local health operating unit.
On 16 December 1994, Departmental Ordinance No. 044 defined the legal nature of the Hospital Enfermeras de Antioquia as an entity under public law.
On March 12, 1995, by Agreement No. 009 of the Honorable Municipal Council, the Hospital Enfermeras de Antioquia was restructured as an E.S.E. with special public-law status and was named the EMPRESA Social del Estado Hospital Enfermeras de Antioquia.
On March 17, 1996, by Agreement No. 043 issued by the Honorable Municipal Council, it changed its name to Empresa Social del Estado Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria.

Health Authorization No. 2231, given on September 29, 1965, issued by the Sectional Health Directorate of Antioquia.
Of a public nature by Departmental Ordinance No. 044 of December 16, 1994. Declared E.S.E. by the Honorable Municipal Council through Agreement No. 009 of March 12, 1995.
